Job description
We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Coordinator, Social Media Operations to support day-to-day channel operations and content publishing. This role is critical in maintaining a best-in-class social presence through seamless execution, strong asset management, and culturally relevant content support.
The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, digitally fluent, and deeply immersed in social platforms—especially TikTok and Instagram. You thrive in fast-paced environments, bring strong creative instincts, and have a passion for beauty and social storytelling.
This role is part-time and hybrid and will report into our Century City, CA office.
Social Responsibilities:
Own weekly publishing across platforms including:
Instagram (Feed, Stories, Broadcast)
TikTok
YouTube Shorts
Facebook (Feed, Stories)
Ensure all posts are properly formatted, tagged, and scheduled according to the content calendar
Maintain shop tagging hygiene and platform best practices
Support TikTok Live moments, including post-Live cutdowns (approx. 1 livestream per launch)
Create and design social assets for in-feed and Stories using Canva, Photoshop, or similar tools
Develop engaging IG Story sequences to support launches, retail moments, and always-on programming
Capture and edit short-form content as needed for social channels
Support ad-hoc seasonal and retail moments (e.g., Valentine’s Day, Mother’s Day, Sephora, Ulta, Credo)
Add text-on-screen, light motion, and layout treatments to enhance performance
Maintain and organize the social content library with strong naming conventions
Ensure all assets are properly:
Downloaded
Labeled
Uploaded to Google Drive
Shared with cross-functional partners
Manage incoming asset requests across organic, paid, and retail teams
Track usage windows and ensure content is logged in the Influencer Calendar Tracker
Identify and surface high-quality UGC for potential brand use
Monitor social sentiment, emerging trends, and notable influencer/celebrity mentions
Provide weekly reactive support for timely cultural or brand moments
Assist with weekly trend reporting
Support monthly competitive tracking and performance recaps
Help maintain dashboards and performance documentation as needed
Job requirements
1+ year experience in social media, digital marketing, or relevant internship
Undergraduate students welcome
Strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail
Experience with Google Sheets, Excel, and PowerPoint
Proficiency in Canva, CapCut, Photoshop, or similar design tools
Deep familiarity with TikTok and Instagram trends, formats, and platform behaviors
Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to move quickly and independently
Passion for beauty and strong alignment with ILIA’s aesthetic
